I am an associate professor of IST at Penn State University. My research is focused on social media analysis and impact of online social media technology on emergent norm formation in crowds. 

I have received my PhD in Information Technology from University of Nebraska Omaha in 2016.

Besides my PhD, I am carrying out a Master in Information Technology from Tarbiat Modares University, Tehran, Iran.

Previously, I received a BSc in Computer Engineering (Software) from Amirkabir University of Technology (formerly known as Tehran Polytechnique), Tehran, Iran.
